We had a late lunch/early dinner today at PF Chang’s. Jeffrey was our waiter; he’s one of my favorites.
Our meal was a very light one. Have you ever tried the chicken noodle soup at PF Chang’s? Their version of the classic has fresh shiitake mushrooms, grape tomatoes, pin rice noodles and cilantro in a spicy chicken broth. I don’t know what’s in the broth but I think it contains some sort of hallucinogen because every time I taste it I hear angels sing.
We also ordered one of my favorite menu items, the PF Chang’s spare ribs. These wok-seared ribs are slathered with an Asian barbecue sauce. The only thing that could make these complete nirvana is if they were a little spicy.
We ordered a few things to have later when we get hungry again. Hubby just loves the Flaming Red Won Tons (pork wontons in a spicy garlic and sesame soy sauce finished with scallions) and I have an order of steamed Edamame waiting. To go with that are some leftover chicken chow mein from Chinese take-out last night.
