Capellini

Saturday night is one of our favorite nights to dine out.   The Mister and I were both in the mood for angel hair pasta so we decided to wander over to Macaroni Grill at the Streets of Tanasbourne in Hillsboro.  We eat there often and I wasn’t in the mood for any of my usual choices but I did want capellini with something.   After consulting the menu I thought I’d try something new,  Chicken Scaloppine.  Oh.  Em.  Gee.  It was delicious!

We sat in the bar where our favorite bartender turned out to be our waiter — Javier.  Javier is the most charming, polite and friendly guy, which makes him the perfect bartender.  He mixed up a mean vodka martini for me and a margarita for The Mister.

Isn’t the bread pretty?

Here’s a shot of the inviting and warmly decorated bar area and there’s Javier back there behind the bar.

My chicken scaloppine has artichokes, mushrooms, prosciutto, lemon butter, capellini and thin pieces of chicken that had a very light batter on it and then grilled to perfection.  Tender and succulent.

The Mister likes to use the ‘create your own’ option and tonight he chose capellini and shrimp in a light garlic cream sauce.

The service tonight is outstanding the food was absolutely delicious.  This was the best meal I’ve ever had at Macaroni Grill.
