I was really in the mood for some sushi today so I visited Miyake over on Outlook Blvd here in Pueblo. The waitress was extremely nice and the food hit the spot. This is the same restaurant I tried to enjoy a meal at back in December but had the terrible gusher of a nosebleed […]
You know how when you’re sick and want comfort food? My mom used to make miso soup and put rice in it for me. Good for what ails you.
Crazy snowy and windy day. I didn’t feel up to braving the weather outside — 21 °F with the 38 mph winds causing it to appear to be snowing sideways. I rummaged in the kitchen to see what I had on hand to fix for lunch. I took leftover spaghetti, ham, minced garlic, green onions, soy sauce, […]
I really love Serrano peppers, basil and chicken combo. Today I included snow peas and it added just the nice amount of crunch. I also squirted some Sriracha sauce because you know, it wouldn’t be spicy enough with just two Serranos.

The sign seemed to plead to please come in, we’re not as bad as we used to be. I had high hopes. I placed my order directly from the […]
Until I find a restaurant here that really titillates my palate, I’m trying another at frozen meal. I have to say, this was pretty tasty and so very easy to prepare. It could’ve been a little spicier. Next time I will toss in some red pepper flakes.
Yesterday I continued my search for good Chinese food in my new town. I really got spoiled both in growing up in Hawaii and later living in Portland where there are a huge number of excellent restaurants. I went to a little place called China Restaurant for lunch. I was the only customer which is […]
I still haven’t found a good Chinese restaurant here so on a whim, I bought the frozen P.F. Chang’s Home Menu® Meal. I chose the General Chang’s Chicken. This turned out to be quite tasty. The sauce was nicely spiced and the chicken was good quality and not riddled with gristle. It probably would’ve been […]
I ventured up to Colorado Springs again in search of a good Asian grocery store. I found the Asiana Market. Not only was I so happy (close to tears!) to have found natto, but I found excellent quality tuna! Today is The Mister’s birthday, so to celebrate from afar, it’s sashimi for dinner. There is […]
