Ginger Beef with Snow Peas

Combine soy sauce, diced fresh ginger, red pepper flakes, a bit of cornstarch and a splash of sesame oil in a bowl and mix well. Add beef and allow to marinate for about an hour.

Slice the beef as thin as possible. I used New York strip but flank steak would also be good. Using a monkey bowl will add additional flavor. 🙂

Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a wok over high heat. Toss in snow peas and stir. Cook for less than a minute. Put snow peas into a bowl and set aside. Return wok to high heat. Let the wok get HOT.

Use tongs to place the beef in the wok, make sure to spread it in a thin layer. Don’t disturb if for about a minute and then stir the beef to turn it over so the other side can cook for an additional 45 seconds.

Return the snow peas to the wok and give everything a good stir, letting it cook for about a minute.

Serve over rice.
