As I’ve probably mentioned before, the Mister and I love jalapeños, serrano peppers and pretty much anything spicy. Well, okay maybe not the ghost pepper.
But I digress. I fixed one of our favorite combinations — chicken with jalapeños and snow peas. It was a very delicious half-a-box-of-Kleenex kind of meal because I thought my nose was going to run right off my face.
I didn’t seed the jalapeños since I wanted a nice kick to the meal and all of the heat in these peppers is found in the seeds.
The seeds did indeed add a nice kick…a mule kick to the head. I think these peppers were on steroids. Believe you me, I’m no lightweight when it comes to being able to handle the spicy but luckily the euphoria from the flavors more than made up for it.
The jalapeños were the obvious ingredient. Here’s the secret ingredient.
Cooking it all up.
The combination of peppers, snow peas, chicken and the savory sauce created by sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth and garlic melded together to make for a delicious meal.
I’m pretty sure I lost some hearing from the heat.
Brave to go with the seeds.
It was painfully delicious!
