Trying A New Restaurant

I’m in search of some restaurants here in town that I can call favorites. Every Saturday I try to go somewhere new in search of a good Chinese restaurant, Japanese restaurant and Thai restaurant. I need these to have a new place feel like home.

Today I tried a Japanese restaurant, Miyake. The people that worked there were very nice and friendly. I ordered some miso soup and my two favorites, spicy tuna roll and maguro.

Unfortunately moments after having my food brought out, I suffered a spontaneous nosebleed to end all nosebleeds. It wouldn’t slow down after ten minutes so I asked for my meal to be packed up to go and I left clutching napkins to my face and my container of food.

I will definitely go to this restaurant again.

    Hmmm …

I’m not too familiar with your restaurant scene since I live in Colorado Springs. In the Chinese category … one possibility is Golden Dragon, a Chinese restaurant. I think its located on the outskirts as you head north on I-25 on a frontage road.

If you’re looking for an Asian food market, it’s Asian Pacific in Colorado Springs. They have brands you’re familiar with like Aloha Shoyu, Joe’s Kimchee, etc. They also prepare hot food items like Sesame Chicken, char siu, etc. For fresh fish, the best place is Pacific Mercantile (which I refer to as the Japanese food market) in Denver.

Oh! Thank you for the heads up about the Golden Dragon and the Asian Pacific in Colorado Springs! The Pacific Mercantile has also been on my radar to try for sure but I haven’t made it up that far yet. I was armed with a listing of stores in Springs but had no idea which would be good. I will definitely check out the Asian Pacific. Thank you!!
