General Chang’s Chicken

I still haven’t found a good Chinese restaurant here so on a whim, I bought the frozen P.F. Chang’s Home Menu® Meal. I chose the General Chang’s Chicken. This turned out to be quite tasty. The sauce was nicely spiced and the chicken was good quality and not riddled with gristle. It probably would’ve been just a little better without the chicken being battered. I will definitely have this again.

Finding a good Chinese restaurant in the Colorado Springs-Pueblo is rather hard. We have a lot of buffet type Chinese places. In this category, Taste of China on South Academy Blvd is definitely the best. I’ve eaten at some other Chinese buffets, they’re not so good. In Fountain (south of Colorado Springs), there’s Grand China Buffet. I haven’t tried Grand China, though it’s been said they have good food. Also, I don’t know if they’re now a 100% buffet style place because at one time you could choose either the sit-down service or the buffet. There is a PF Chang’s restaurant at the Shops at Briargate mall, which is a bit out of the way. We also have a few, smaller Chinese dine-in/take-out places around Colorado Springs. We’ve eaten some of these smaller places on their take-out, and they’re not bad at all. I would assume Pueblo may have a few of these smaller places.

Hope you can find your Chinese food place soon.
