Étouffée & Sazerac

The Mister and I enjoyed dinner last night at the home of our wonderful friends, Mister & Missus P.

As soon as we came in the front door we were aware that every detail to setting the perfect warm and inviting atmosphere was handled beautifully by Missus P.

Dinner was prepared by Mister P, aka Chef Tom,  and it was delicious!

Anticipation….it simmers….be patient. You can’t rush a good thing.

Salad to start — pictured here before I topped it with a pound and a half liberal amount of blue cheese crumbles (yum!). A secret recipe dressing drizzled over mixed baby greens and cranberries for a festive touch.

Étouffée! Seasoned to perfection with tender shrimp, the consistency was thick, creamy and comforting.
