On this snowy Colorado day, I decided it was a great day to wing it and try my hand at making my first ever homemade chicken noodle soup with no recipe.
I cut up onions, celery and carrots.
I set the Ninja 3-in-1 to STOVETOP HIGH and put in several pats of butter. I cooked the onions a little and tossed in some minced garlic for good measure. Salt and pepper it to taste. After approximately 5 minutes I tossed in the chicken and let it cook a little. Time now for everybody in the pot so in went the carrots and celery.
I added my secret ingredients — chicken stock from when I roasted the whole chicken and Worcestershire sauce and parsley in a tube.
Next I added roughly 48 oz of Swanson’s chicken broth and my other secret ingredient, the chicken neck. Toss two bay leaves in for good measure along with about a 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
Set it to SLOW COOK LOW for 7 hours.
The house is smells delicious!
45 minutes before you want to eat, set it to SLOW COOK HIGH and add noodles. I used No Yolks Dumpling noodles.
Let’s eat!
yum, that works for me!
