Sausage, Roasted Garlic & Cheese-Stuffed Peppers

Oh, and…….bacon!

The Mister has been craving these so it was what we had for dinner tonight.

What I used:

  • Jalapeños
  • 6 oz of whipped cream cheese
  • Roasted garlic cloves
  • Italian sausage
  • Bacon

Beautiful jalapeños! I used 14 of them.

Seeding the jalapeños.

I like to use the whipped cream cheese because it’s easier to mix it up. I used roughly 6 oz.

I roasted garlic the other day and thought they’d go good in the mix here. I grabbed 6 of these and minced them.

This is one pound of Gagliano’s hot Italian sausage. I cut off 6″ piece and removed the casing. I crumbled it into a skillet and The Mister cooked it. The rest of of the sausage is saved to be used another day.

I cut the bacon into smaller lengths to make it easier to wrap the peppers.

Mix up the browned sausage in with the garlic and cream cheese.

Fill the peppers with the cream cheese mixture and wrap with the bacon. A little sausage was leftover so The Mister sprinkled it on top.

Into a 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for 30 minutes. (I used slightly thick bacon. If you use regular bacon you can bake for 20 minutes or so.)
