Noodles! We Love Noodles

Veggies on hand tonight are celery, green beans, green onions and jalapeños.

Wash them well, pat dry and cut them up.

There was also boneless chicken breast sliced thinly but I didn’t take a photo of that. Often meat looks a big gross in photos.

Cook it up! Pour some olive oil into a hot skillet, and add the chicken. Cook the chicken thoroughly.  Add several tablespoons of sesame oil, soy sauce, Aji-Mirin, and garlic. Stir-fry it all. Secret ingredient not shown is a drop or two of liquid smoke. It gives the chicken a bit of that hibachi flavor.

In the meantime the noodles will have been boiled, drained and rinsed.  Add the noodles to the skillet and mix everything up well. Add more soy sauce and sesame oil, all to taste. We like a lot.

It has been years since I have used this type of noodle. I boiled them for several minutes less than the package directed since they would be put in with the cooked meat and vegetables and cooked a bit more. They were just ok. I doubt I’ll use them again but instead stick with using thin spaghetti, angel hair or linguine fini. I found these noodles to be a bit gummy.

Otherwise, the flavor was good. The Mister ate all of his.

Geniuses think a like. Last night I made Yakisoba noodles with boneless skinless Chicken thigh meat and a package of Broccoli slaw for the veg. Oh, and I add freshly minced Ginger along with the Garlic. ONO!
